Wilma Lucille Cushman of Otsego, Michigan, went to be with her Lord, Thursday night, December 9, 2010. Wilma was born July 14

, 1917 to the late Walter and Florence (Julien) Reed at their home in Otsego, MI. In 1936 she graduated from Otsego High School. On March 27, 1937 she was united in marriage to the late Charles R. “Bill” Cushman. Wilma was the first Eagle Scout in Otsego and was always proud of her scouting interest. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Otsego and was the first employee of McPherson Plastics, where she worked for many years.
Wilma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life interest was her family, for whom she loved to cook and sew. Surviving are her six children and spouses, Robert and Shirley Godfrey of Grandville, Bob and Jan Cushman of Otsego, Dale and Sharon Schrotenboer of Holland, Bill and Bev Cushman of Kalamazoo, Norm and Sally Cook of Otsego and Butch and Deb Cushman of Martin; 13 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; siblings, Glenda Staley, Donna Westfield, Walt and Vivian Reed and Linda Clock; brother-in-law, Harry Rex; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister Peggy Rex and young sibling Mary Jean Reed; two brothers-in-law, Dale Staley and Fred Westfield. Friends may meet with her family from 6 to 9 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2010, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 14, at the Otsego United Methodist Church, Pastor Joe Shaler officiating. Contributions in memory of Wilma may be made to the Alamo Nursing Home, Otsego United Methodist Church or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
