where she had been lovingly cared for. Wilma was born

February 19, 1936

at

Bronson

,

MI

to Oscar Daniel and Lucille (Wagner) Bartholomew. In 1954, she graduated from

Kalamazoo

Central

High School

and on

October 18, 1954

, she married John C. Kreckman. She worked as a bookkeeper for Kalamazoo Cycle Shop for John and Earl Bourn, from the age of 14 until the shop closed. Then she worked for Ames Department store in the Otsego-Plainwell area and most recently for Stewart & Clark furniture in

Kalamazoo

. Wilma was totally devoted to the 2nd love of her life, her dog Samantha. She attended the

Otsego

United

Methodist

Church

, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, sang in the choir and especially enjoyed making crafts for the church bazaar. Wilma knitted beautiful sweaters and in recent years knitted sweaters for Guideposts Knit For Kids, where the sweaters are sent all over the world. She was a Life Member of the Order of Eastern Star #169 and had been Worthy Matron and Grand Representative. Surviving are 2 brothers, Oscar Bartholomew of Mount Morris, Raymond Bogart of Bronson, Sister-in-law Betty Bartholomew of Flint; brother-in-law, Tom (Joan) Kreckman of Gladwin; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Peggy Weaver of Allegan, Lorna Pirrone and Darl and Joyce Gilliland of Otsego. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 1974, a brother Wilton Bartholomew and sister-in-law Shirley Bartholomew. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
