William ‘Bill’ Groth

William ‘Bill’ Groth of Martin passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 in Allegan. Bill was born August 9, 1941 in Hartford, MI the son of Henry A. and Cecile (Hilderley) Groth. Bill drove a feed truck for Wolverine Feed for 12 years before going to work at Plainwell Paper where he worked for over 23 years until they closed. In his spare time, he enjoyed cutting wood, gardening, fixing mowers and tinkering in the garage.

On March 16, 1963, he married Kathleen Myers who survives. Also surviving are his children, Michael (Sharon) Groth of Gobles and Michelle (Daniel) Wubben of Dorr; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may meet with Bill’s family from 10-11 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Trowbridge United Methodist Church, 355 – 26th Street, Otsego where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor John Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Trowbridge Methodist Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Bill may be made to
