Thomas A. Darrow

Tom passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at his home in Plainwell.

He was born March 18, 1967 in Kalamazoo the son of William and Linda (Shewmake) Darrow. Tom was a 1985 Parchment High School graduate and served his country in the US Marine Corp. For several years he had worked at Kalamazoo Public Schools and most recently doing construction with Local Union 355 in Battle Creek. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Tom was a great dad and a very loving person.

Surviving are his daughters, Samantha (Jesse) Berens and Amanda Darrow both of Dorr; 2 grandchildren, Wyatt and Dannilynn Berens; mother, Linda McCormick; siblings, James, Kurt and Kevin Darrow and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Will Darrow who held a special place in Tom’s heart.

He was preceded in death by his father; step-father, Clifford McCormick; step-mother, Shirley Darrow and close friend, Joe Garza who served with Tom in the Marine Corp.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.

Burial of ashes with Military Honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 2:30 P.M.

Contributions in memory of Tom may be made to his family for expenses.

My heart aches for all who knew and loved you Tommy, you always lit up the room with your sense of humor and sweet sweet ways. Rest In Peace now in the arms of our Lord and know you’ll be forever remembered by the McClure’s.
