Thelma Hawley
Thelma passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, Saturday, December 3, 2022 at her home in Otsego.
She was born January 11, 1946 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the daughter of Edward and Geraldine (Begal) Arnett. Thelma worked at Kal-Equip, Crescent Pipe and owned and operated TNT Home Cleaning for many years. Thelma enjoyed gardening, yard work, camping, bowling, crocheting and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. On August 8, 1966 she married Ron Hawley who passed away in 1981.
Surviving are her children, Jody (Randy) Crawford and Tina (Troy Logan) Hawley both of Otsego; 2 grandchildren, Randy Jr. (Melissa) Crawford and Mindy (Dan) Brown; several great-grandchildren and siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may visit with Thelma’s family from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
Cremation will follow.

Dearest Jody-
I seen this face and I instantly seen you in this photo, your mom was always so sweet. I remember her always coming into dollar general when I worked there and was just so pleasant to talk to. I’m thinking and praying for you at this time. May God send you comfort and wrap you in his loving arms.

My dearest Emily, I am so sorry for your loss and I know how much Grandma Hawley meant to you. From all the nights you spent at her house to all of the phone calls once we moved, she was always there for you. The connection you had and the memories you shared are still with you. I love you and I will always be here for you.

So sorry for you loss. I am very blessed for her to be a grandma when I was around all the time. Listening to her and Tina watch the tigers game was one of my favorite memories. Who knew you could love sports so much. Stay strong! Love you guys.

I had no idea that she had passed. I have a thousand memories with her. I remember the walks she used to take me on down by shoups , and would laugh together as I would trip over the sidewalk.
She was an amazing stepmom to me as a child and I regret not spending more time with her as an adult .
I will miss her and I’m sorry for your loss also
