Terry W. Chandler

Terry W. Chandler age 72 of Plainwell passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center.

He was born April 1, 1944 in Kalamazoo the son of Floyd and Dorothy (Miller) Chandler. He served his country in the US Navy as a boiler operator during Vietnam. For around 30 years he had worked at Wilson Air Equipment until his retirement in 2004. Terry belonged to several car clubs in the area. He enjoyed showing off his classic cars at Deano’s and the Gilmore Car Museum. On June 23, 1979 in Vicksburg he married Marilyn Clark who passed away in January 2013.

Surviving are their children, Marie (Greg) Silva of Turlock, CA, Melissa (Paul) Slachter of Wyoming and Terry Jr. (Jennifer) Chandler of Paw Paw and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant brother, Jimmy and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jim Adam.

Friends may visit with Terry’s family from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M., Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Cremation will follow.

Burial of ashes will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton at a later time.
