Ted H. Czerwinski of Otsego, Michigan passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his home. Ted was born October 12, 1916 in Camden, New Jersey to Karol and Tillie (Zdunkiewicz) Czerwinski. He grew up in Hamtramck where he graduated from high school. Ted served in the Air Force on a B-24 bomber in a specialized ‘Snooper’ squadron during WWII. In his younger years, he was an amateur boxer. For over 40 years, he operated Ted’s Heating and Cooling Service. He was a member of St. Margaret’s Church, Otsego Rotary Club and the Otsego Elks Club. On June 10, 1944 at St. Margaret’s Church in Otsego he married
Wilma Sines
and they renewed their vows at St. Margaret’s on their 50th anniversary. In his later years he enjoyed camping and fishing with Wilma at their trailer up north. Ted also looked forward to his annual WW II Snooper Squadron reunions.
Surviving are a nephew David Kivell and his wife Kelly of Allegan; nieces, Catlyn Thomas of Nashville, TN, Valerie (Czerwinski) and her husband Mike Zinis of Marquette, MI; a nephew Roger Maciborski and his wife Annette, of Louisville, KY; many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma; 2 sisters and 1 brother, Valentine, Clara and Henry.
Friends may meet with his family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
,where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Donald P. Klingler officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego with military honors by V.F.W. Post #3030 and Michigan Army National Guard.

IT’S HARD TO IMAGINE AN OTSEGO WITHOUT TED AND WILMA
THEY WERE DEAR FRIENDS OF MINE AND GENE BROOKS HALLAM, WE SPENT MANY HAPPY TIMES WITH THEM IN THEIR OTSEGO HOME, IN HAWAII, MEXICO AND ARIZONA. THANKS FOR BEING THERE FOR THEM DAVID AND KELLY & SETH WHEN THEY NEEDED YOU MOST.TED WAS A ROUGH OLD FART BUT WILMA KEPT HIM GROUNDED. THEY WERE SOUL MATES AND WILL BE SORELY MISSED BY ME AND I KNOW THAT GENE AND WILMA WILL GREET HIM IN HEAVEN .
