Shirley passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Kalamazoo.
She was born October 28, 1939 in Corning, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Nellie (Linsday) Dunn. Shirley worked at the same restaurant location on M-89 for many years, through several name changes, from Burger Chef through Burger King and at the Chicken Chalet in Allegan until her retirement. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and facetiming with her family on her iPad. She was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Otsego. On June 26, 1965 she married Donald Kling who passed away in 2010.
Surviving are her children, Charles Kling of Otsego and Louise (Sean) Skinner of Kentucky; grandchildren, Hannah, Molly, Abby and Natalie; siblings, Gene Dunn and Nellie Mae; sister-in-law, Linda Dunn along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Mel (Leora), Willie and Ralph and by her sister-in-law, Ceil Dunn.
The family would like to thank the EMS and Borgess Medical Center staff for their kind and professional care.
Friends may visit with Shirley’s family from 5-7 PM, Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego and starting at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 25, 2021 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M, at Peace Lutheran Church in Otsego, with Pastor Nathaniel Timmermann officiating.
Burial will take place at 2:00 P.M., at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego.

I worked with Shirley at 3 A ins. early 60’s. She was a good friend. I always enjoyed seeing her at the different restraurants and chatting with her. I did have lunch with her and another co-worker about 5 years ago. May she RIP.
