, in South Haven, a daughter of William and Myrtle (Wade) Charles. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, basket weaving and crafts. Shirley married Thomas V. Handley, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Morgan of

Florida

and her brother, Andrew Charles of South Haven. She is survived by her children, Thomas, Jr. (Janice) Handley of Kalamazoo, Judith (Ken) David of Grand Haven, Janet (Tom) Carr of Grandville, Kenneth (Judi) Handley of Grand Rapids and Steven (Janice) Handley of Muskegon; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for immediate family only will be held from

8 P.M.

Tuesday at

Winkel Funeral Home,

Otsego.

Burial will be at
