Shirley M. Foster

Shirley passed away, Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. 

She was born on May 25, 1958, in Plainwell, the daughter of Robert and Barbara (Chesnut) Foster. Shirley worked as an administrative assistant until 2001. She also owned and operated Eternal Chi Energetics, an energetic healing and massage business. 

Shirley was a loving, dedicated mother, energetic healer, sister and friend to everyone she met. She spread joy wherever she went. She was a free spirit and enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She was quick to make new friends and liked exploring and visiting new places. 

Shirley also enjoyed hiking, healing work, going to the beach and watching animals. She played the guitar and was a skilled writer of poetry and songs. Shirley was an active member of the Self Realization Fellowship Church and was a previous member of the VFW Post 3030 Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children, Brent Lovett and Sadie Lovett; siblings, Carol (Frank) Clark, Gail (Ron) Tutewiler, Judy (Doug) Scheppelman and Michael (Claudine) Foster along with many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Foster. 

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. 

A memorial service will be held at 12:15 P.M., Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the Meditation Group Church (SRF) in Paw Paw with a time of fellowship starting at 3:00 P.M. at the Otsego Moose Lodge.

Contributions in memory of Shirley may be made to Wild Horse Education or the Self Realization Fellowship Church.
