February 4, 1943

, the youngest of seven children, to Frank and Mary (Bacca) Gendron. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marie and Mercedes; brothers, Arthur, Frank Jr. and Leonard. Surviving are

Sharon

’s husband of 48 years, Don; their two sons, Mark (Kerri) of

Grand Rapids

,

MI

and Jeffrey of Springfield, MO; her pride and joy, granddaughter, Ashley; her brother, Ernest (Helen) Gendron of St. Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews. During the early years of marriage Sharon was a stay-at-home mom. When her sons entered middle school,

Sharon

’s love of children led her to pursue career positions as a teacher’s aide in the Comstock Public School System and later as a early learning teacher with KinderCare in

Portage

; positions she enjoyed and excelled in.

Sharon

enjoyed golf, photography and the outdoors. She used her creativity to make her own personal greeting cards to share with family and friends. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Memorial services will be held, locally, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Otsego, MI on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. Friends may meet with family members before the service from 9 – 10:30 A.M. A luncheon will follow the service. A second memorial service will be held in May at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in

Norway

, MI – details to be announced.

Sharon

’s final interment will be in the Norway Township Cemetery, Norway, MI, during a private ceremony. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the cancer or heart research foundation of your choice.
