Scott W. Hanson

Scott W. Hanson of Paw Paw passed away Friday, August 24, 2012 in Kalamazoo.

Scott was born February 25, 1958 in Kalamazoo the son of Wesley and Joyce (Kennedy) Hanson. He loved fishing and spending time with his friends, cutting wood and being in the out-of-doors.

Scott is survived by his children, Zachary (Tammi) Hanson and Mallory (Tony) Moats; 2 grandchildren, Faith and Hannah; great-grandchildren; his mother, Joyce; his brothers, Tim (Donna) Hanson and Mike (Sherry) Hanson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 3 P.M. at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Messages of condolence for his family may be posted at

To the Hanson family,My heart aches for you. I have always cared for your family.Working for you was the best thing that could of happened to me I got to meet so many nice people. Growing up Scott was one of many of the “brothers” I acquired through their relationship with my brothers. Thought and prayers go out to all of the Hanson family. Scott is loved and will be missed dearly. May you find comfort in God through this difficult time in your lives. Love to all.

one week from today it will have been a year since we lost one of the most important men ever! life just isn’t the same without you buddy. i miss you every day. i wish Jaren would have got more time with you and i wish Wesley would have got to meet you. when they grow up they will know what an amazing man you were. love & miss you buddy!!
