Sarah A. Perkins

Sarah A. Perkins of Parchment, passed away after a long illness Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in Plainwell. Sarah was born November 8, 1933 in Oshtemo Township the daughter of Myron and Ruby (Baker) Alexander. She enjoyed playing Yhatzee, swimming and spending time with her grandchildren, reunions and Christmas parties. Sarah was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Perkins in 1957 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by 3 children; Deb (Jim) Mitchell of Otsego, Steve Perkins of Otsego, Dan Perkins of Kalamazoo; a step-daughter Sandy; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Wanita Bradshaw and Doris (Jim) Brown; her friend and companion, Jim Christensen; and a dear cousin, Jim (Barb) Kaake. She was preceded in death by a daughter Sue Widger in 1999; brothers and sisters, Edward, Alice, Ione and Maxine, and a great-granddaughter, MacKenzie. Friends may meet with the family Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Winkel Funeral Home in Otsego, MI where services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Dave Alderman officiating. Interment will follow at East Cooper Cemetery. Those desiring may make donations to the family to help with expenses.
