He was such a down to earth great man.
He loved his home, his pets and most of all, my dear friend Mary.

I was saddened to hear of his passing. I knew Sam for many years as a cyberfriend on various Lions message boards. It sure would have been great to hang out with him in real life. He always spoke glowingly about his wife and family and was such a proud Grandpa. He was such a great guy and will be missed. I am sorry for your loss and my deepest sympathies go out to all of you.

Mary and family words can not express the sorrow I have upon learning of Sam’s passing. I also worked with Sam at Evans where he was absolutely treasured. I’ll never forgot our texts on football and music. Sam absolutely loved his guitar greats. My deepest sympathies go to all of you.
