December 5, 1926
, in Otsego to James and Mildred (Rowe) Casey and was a lifelong resident of the area. In 1944 she graduated from
Otsego
High School
as Valedictorian. She graduated from
Butterworth
Hospital
Nursing
School
and joined the United States Air Force serving eight years as a nurse in
England
,
France
and stateside. She was also employed as a hospital registered nurse. Ruth was a member of the United Methodist Church of Otsego. She enjoyed reading, traveling around the world, walking the beach and was very inquisitive. Surviving are a brother and two sisters, Stanley Casey of Otsego, Barbara Thompson of
Kalamazoo
and Sharon Doelker of Otsego; one aunt, Wanda Kling of Otsego; several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her step-father, John Doelker; a brother, William Gordon Casey; and a niece, Cindy Thompson. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will greet friends from

Winkel Funeral Home,
Otsego,
where Memorial Services will be held at
11:00 A.M.
Thursday, Pastor Joe Shaler officiating. Burial of ashes will be at
