Ronald Thompson

Ronald E. Thompson of Otsego, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Kalamazoo. Ron was born May 31, 1954 in Kalamazoo to Vernon and Marie (Ordiway) Thompson and lived most of his life in Otsego. He was a 1972 graduate of Otsego High School and for 32 years was employed with Flexible Furniture.

Surviving are a sister and a half-brother, Eva Thompson of Otsego and Vernon S. Thompson of Vicksburg; aunts and uncles, Mary Pion of Otsego, Phyllis Chapman of Illinois, Gary (Tina) Chapman of Bellevue and Mike (Carmen) Chapman of Indiana; several cousins; many friends; and his special fur baby, Dexter.

Preceding Ron in death were his parents; step-father, Ed Ordiway; and aunt Joan.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.

Friends may join the family from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Otsego Township Hall for a time of remembrance and refreshments.

Contributions in memory of Ron may be made to a charity of your choice.

Eva I’m so sorry for your loss, but I’m sooooo glad we got to have lunch with you and Ron back in September, that will be a great memory for us. Wish we could have visited more over the years. Love always, your Aunt and Uncle in Alabama.
