Ron passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo.
He was born July 17, 1924 in Plainwell the son of Fritz and Lillian (Wigginton) Jager. He served his country proudly in the US Army during WWII. For many years Ron owned and operated a dairy farm. He was an avid horse lover and enjoyed pulling with his horses and showing them at the area fairs.
Surviving are his companion, Jolene English; children, David (Nancy Jenney) Jager of Shelbyville, Dale (Vicki) Jager of Kalamazoo and Nancy (Michael Simon) Jager of Plainwell; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and siblings, Kenneth, Joyce and Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret.
Friends may visit with Ron’s family from 5-7 P.M., Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Hillside Cemetery, Plainwell.

My condolences to Dave♥, Nancy, Dale & all the family. I have a lot of good memories of the Jager Farm when I was a teenager. The only name I ever called him was Farmer & he must’ve liked it because he always had a big smile for me. Blessings to Farmer on his new journey ♥
