Robert “Jack” Warner of Otsego, MI, passed away

the son of Hubert and Kathryn (Williams) Warner. He was a Navy veteran, and a member of the Rotary Club – Paul Harris Fellow, the Elks Lodge and Michigan Sports Sages. He was a member of the Pastor/Parish Committee at the

Otsego

United

Methodist

Church

and longtime treasurer of the church, played trumpet in the River Cities Concert Band, at church and Taps for the VFW. Jack was the coach of the 1968 championship

Otsego

High School

basketball team and was the recipient of the Wolverine Conference Distinguished Service Award. He was a teacher and counselor as well as a coach and had served public schools in Wayland and Otsego. His hobbies were golfing, bowling, deer hunting, fishing and family activities with his grandchildren. Also, he owned Warner’s Landing campground in Shelbyville. On

, he married the former Ida McCutchan, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Lisa (

) Falkenberg of Estero FL and Susan Warner (Dave Griffin) of

Oak Park

; and 3 grandchildren, Henry & Pearl Griffin and Kathryn Falkenberg. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joan Stroup. Friends may meet with the family Wednesday from 2 – 4 and

6 – 8 P.M.

at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. Graveside services will be held Thursday at

11:00 A.M.
