Robert “Bob” Pelfresne of Otsego, Michigan passed away on March 12, 2012. Bob was born on November 7, 1927 in Muskegon, Michigan to Charles and Anna (Rakittke) Pelfresne. In 1950, he married his beloved wife, Catherine Sienna Fischer, who survives him. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and maintained an extreme love of his country; always willing and ready to discuss politics with anyone. Bob and Catherine were owners of Hanson Distributing Co. His favorite pastimes in the early years were camping and fishing on the Manistee River. In his later years he developed a love (some would call it obsession!) for golf, which gradually gave way to his newfound passion of bike riding. He and Catherine cherished many winters together in Arizona.
He was always a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his nine children: Lois (Gary) Herline, Robert (Karen) Pelfresne, Gary (Sue) Pelfresne, Nancy Pelfresne, Jim (Sarah) Pelfresne, Linda (John) Stegeman, Bill (Terri) Pelfresne, Lori (Dan) Baas, Janet (Brian) Vestergaard; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. One of 12 children, he is also survived by 3 sisters: Ann (Jim) Sell, Dona Mae Pelfresne, and Margaret (Tom) Cordo in addition to 2 sisters-in-law, Eleanore Pelfresne and Maxine Bowman. Forever in our hearts, we’ll miss you Dad, Grandpa, Bob.
Bob and Catherine were members of St. Margaret Catholic Church for many years where the memorial mass will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 17, 2012.

My condolences to you all. This is a time when you lean on family and friends for strength and support. My hope is that the promises held out in the Bible at Revelation 21:3, 4 will provide an additional source of comfort as you mourn the loss of someone you truly love.
