in Oshtemo to Clarence and Dorothy (Rose) Aernie. For many years he was employed with Clausing Industrial, retiring in 2004. Bob enjoyed fishing, watching Detroit Tigers baseball and doing yard work. In 1952, he married Velma (Spencer) Wiborn and they divorced. On

he married the former Charlotte Morgan and they were married for 42 years. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2008. Surviving are 3 sons and 2 daughters, Robert Aernie, Jr. (Terri) Udilla, NE, Debra (Orbie) Brooks of Holland, Chuck Aernie of Mattawan, Joe (Joanne) Aernie of Langley, WA, Laurie (Peter) Hoag of Allegan; 2 step-daughters, Gaye Levian of Plainwell and Susan Morgan of Otsego; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Steve Aernie and 2 brothers, Raymond and Eugene Aernie. Friends may meet with his family from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M., with his grandson David Levian officiating. Interment will be in

. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kent County Humane Society or the National Law Officers Memorial Fund.
