Dear Jeanne – My deepest sympathy on your loss. Dick was my supervisor for the three years I worked out of the Grand Rapids district for Waterways Division. I always enjoyed interacting with Dick. I was even fortunate enough to visit him at your camp on Lac Vieux Desert after I moved to the U.P. He was a very fair supervisor and I really liked him. May God’s blessings help you in this time of sorrow.

We haven’t seen each other in a long time, Jeanne, but I hope you know you and Richard were always near and dear to me. My family lived just a few homes away from Richard’s grandparents and aunt and uncle, so I’ve known the Ueck family since childhood.

Your husband was a great guy and obviously will be missed by many. You have my heartfelt condolences. God bless.

Jeanne, I am so saddened and sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. He was a great friend. I greatly enjoyed and cherished his stories, mentorship and guidance. You and Dick always made coming to Plainwell an enjoyable and family experience. I greatly miss our “discussions” on grouse and bear management, especially during our visits to the north country. I offer you my sincere condolences and may God help you through this time of loss.

Jeanne,

I am so saddened to hear of Dicks passing. I considered him a very good friend. I regret that we did not see much of you folks after our retirements. Memories clear back to the Porkies. How do I get his book? We are in Florida at the time. Regards and best wishes as you move forward without your lifes mate . Jerry & Marlene Stilson

Jeanne – So sorry of your loss with Dick’s passing. I loved working with him – he was a great “go-to” mentor and old-school guy if there ever was one. From the day I came with my family to work in Plainwell, he engaged me, and always challenged me to be both a better person and professional. They just don’t make them like Dick anymore!

So sorry to hear about your dad’s passing Richard and family.

So many fond memories of my time with Dick at Gun River S & T. He was a natural leader and contributed immensely to GRST. Loved and respected by all who had the fortune to know him. Well done friend, save a spot for me on the shooting line.
