Richard L. “Dickey” Weaver, Sr., passed away

, at his home. Richard was born
September 2, 1943
, in Plainwell to Leslie and Maxine (Bullard) Weaver and was a lifelong resident of the area. Dickey served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years he was employed with Plainwell Paper Co. In his leisure he enjoyed watching NASCAR and playing golf. He was a member of the Otsego V.F.W. Post #3030, the Otsego Moose Lodge #345 and the Allegan Eagles Aerie #2315. Surviving are his children, Marty (Christopher) Austin of Missouri, Richard Weaver, Jr. of Kalamazoo, Dennis Weaver of Allegan, Ron (Danielle) Jackson of Mount Pleasant, Linda (Donnie) Keely of Otsego, Terry Jackson of Plainwell and John Jackson of California; four grandchildren, David, Dillon, Summer and Nichole; a brother, Larry (Barbara) Weaver of Allegan; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Don Weaver. Friends may meet with his family from

, funeral celebrant Bill Rose officiating. Burial with Military Honors by V.F.W. Post #3030 and the National Guard will follow at
