Raymond G. Rex of Otsego, Michigan, passed away

at his home. Mr. Rex was born

October 31, 1924

at the family home in

Otsego

Township

to Walter and Evelyn (

Tyler

) Rex and was a lifelong resident of the area. He served his country in the United States Navy. For many years he was employed with Parker Hannifin – Brass Division, retiring January of 1986. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and gardening. On

June 7, 1947

in Otsego he married the former Joyce Weaver and they had celebrated 63 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by three sons, Douglas (Emilia) Rex of Otsego, Kevin (Bridget) Rex of Plainwell and Scott (Kathy) Rex of Otsego; five grandchildren, Tenneil, Kailin, Justin, Rusty and Amy; three brothers, Howard Rex of Otsego,

Harry Rex

of Allegan and Glen (Jackie) Rex of Florida; many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were an infant son, David Rex, his parents; a sister, Marguerite Thompson; and a brother, Robert Rex. Friends may meet with his family from 2 to 4 and

6 to 8 P.M.

Thursday at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. Funeral services will be held at

11:00 A.M.

Friday at the United Methodist Church of Otsego with Pastor Joe Shaler. Military graveside services at

Mountain

Home

Cemetery

, Otsego, will be conducted by V.F.W. Post #3030. Contributions in memory of Ray may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or the United Methodist Church of Otsego.
