Shimnoski Girls. We are so sorry to hear about your father. And so soon after your mother. He was a good friend to us. Always ready at our pig roast with his knives to help cut up the pig. He will be missed. We are still in Florida so will not be able to attend on Tuesday, but our thoughts are with you.

And also with you Kathy. If you need anything when we get back dont hesitate to call.

Kathy, Scotty, Daughters & Stepdaughters, I would like to share my condolances and prayers with you. Phil was a very good friend and we have lost a very special person. I was very surprised and shocked to hear of his passing. I understand he has been pretty ill since after the first of the year. He was in a lot of pain and this may be a blessing. He is certainly in a better place now. Phil has gone on Eternal Patrol. Shipmate rest your oars. I will miss you Phil. So will your shipmates from Escolar Base. Ed Feury

Phil will not grow old now, as we that are left behind do…age will not change him and the years will not condemn him… At the breaking of the dawn and the setting of the sun we shall remember him…

Warm regards to Kathy and the family

I am sorry to hear about your loss Paula. It is a life changing experience to loose a parent and nothing seems to make you feel better about them being gone. My mother passed in 2007 and my whole world changed. Today I miss my mother often however I think of the wonderful times we spent together and how blessed I was to have a mother 30 years:) You and your family will be in my prayers.

Love,

Dear Kathy and family; Phil and I were classmates at M.H.S. and played football together in 9th and 10th grd. He and I both chose to serve in the Navy, he was under the water and I was on top on a carrier. I’m very sorry for your loss he will be deeply missed, I’m sure. It’s sad that time and distance takes people away from those they care about, we had great times in High School eating Galloways cookies! We wil keep you in our prayers, Love, Chuck and Jeanne OLENICZAK, Manistee

Philip and I were boyhood friends. Philip was tough; he played football with abandon; he had great, piercing yet kind eyes. We roamed the hills on the northside near Lake Michigan at a time when there no condos there. He was a good friend.

To all of Phil’s daughters,

I was stunned to learn of your father’s passing. He was so strong I could not imagine that he would ever leave you. I don’t know if you remember me or not, but I had met several of you and remember you well. To those that I had not met, your Dad spoke so often of you, I felt like I knew you too. I offer my deepest condolences from the bottom of my heart. And I am really glad that he had found a partner to be with him.

I know how sad you must be. I am so sorry.

You are all on my mind and in my prayers.

Rose
