Penny went to be with her Lord and Savior suddenly on May 13, 2015.
Penny was born August 29, 1954 in Kalamazoo; the daughter of Donald and Georgia Young. A 1972 graduate of Otsego High School, Penny enjoyed reading mystery novels, had a passion for sewing, working crossword puzzles and gardening. She loved her first winter in Florida riding bikes and walking along the beach with the love of her life. On October 4, 1975, Penny married her high-school sweetheart Robert Goodacre who survives.
Penny is also survived by her daughters Vanessa (Steve) Sawyer and Nicole (John) Wagner, her mother Georgia Young, her sisters and brother Susan Keyzer, Nancy Corradini, Theresa Summers, Ronald (Ruth) Young, Amy (Brian) Tetreault-Blok, 3 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Penny was reunited with her loving father Donald, mother-in-law Phyllis, father-in-law Robert Sr., and brothers-in-law Gary Keyzer, Sonny Fairfield, Dennis Corradini, John Summers and Shawn Tetreault, who preceded her in death.
Penny was a kind-hearted, passionate, loving wife and mother who always put her family first. Her loved ones fondly remember celebrating many holidays in her home, her meticulously hand-crafted baby clothes, and the unconditional love for her mother amongst many others.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 17

Bob, so sorry for you and your families loss. Our prayers are with you and your family. “May you see God’s light on the path ahead when the road you walk is dark. May you always hear, even in your hour of sorrow, the gentle singing of the lark. When times are hard may hardness never turn your heart to stone, and may you always remember when the shadow fall- you do not walk alone.” May God Bless and comfort you and your family.

I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss Bob. It’s been many years since I’ve seen you, but through the “magic” of social media, we all seem to keep connected. Prayers being said for you and your family. After my Dave passed away I really found comfort with grief therapy. Everyone needs to handle this their own way, but don’t turn down help…you and the family will need it.

Mom-
As I read all the messages posted here and on Facebook and all the people who have said kind words in person, it is evident just how much you were truly loved by so many. You were truly a special person and an exceptional mother! You offered me comfort more times than I can count and always had the right words when I needed them. My heart is broken, and I keep feeling an urge to turn to you for comfort but then I remember my heart is broken because you are gone. I love you so much! Xoxo

Penny, I remember being a young girl of the age of 14, when I meet you. You instantly became someone I loved and cared for with all of my heart. I remember looking up to you, because you we’re so smart and friendly person. Oh how admired your ability to be a great person, wife and mother. Your talents and energy was completely graceful. Bob, Vanessa and Nicci -Penny blessed so many lives and so many ways. I will always remember my good times with her in my heart. I know she loved you all so much- may God give you Peace that passes all understanding.

Bobby Mobile and girls,
We are so sorry to your family for this time of sorrow. Never do we understand when someone we love has been taken from our family without preparing us with an understanding of peace, faith and no hurting….this is absolutely shocking and very sad! Penny was such a happy go lucky individual with a beautiful smile no matter the day!, We liked her from the first day and time we met her! As many did, Penny was never selfish, nor was she above the guy beside her, ….she always had a warm welcome for everyone she talked to .Bob, Vanessa and Nicci, God Bless you all, and know that God will carry you in this time of sorrow if you allow him too. Clay and I are very sorry to you and our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Mommy, mom, mama, ma – it didn’t matter what I called you, you always answered. We will remain bestest friends. From our secret kisses before bedtime, to my desperate pleas from day camp to, “please come pick me up” because I missed you so badly, to me parading my friends through our house to see my beautiful, stylish mom…you will live in our hearts forever. #1 mom! Xoxo, your baby girl

Dear Bob,
I really don’t know what to say that hasn’t already been said. We are so sad and this is so surreal. Penny was the closest person I had to a sister, and will miss her terribly. My heart breaks for you and the girls.
God will help you with your healing process. Like I told you, keep doing the things you enjoy and it will make things easier. Much love, my brother. You are always in my prayers.
