We are so sorry to hear of Peggy’s passing. She was one of a kind! Sherlene first met Peggy in 3rd grade and she never changed from that time. She always had a smile, was so sweet and thoughtful. Dan met Peggy in high school and would have dated her if his mom hadn’t told him that they were related but that didn’t change the fact that he knew she was a very special person.
Our deepest sympathy to the Shearer and Filkins families.

I’ve known Peg and her family for what seems like forever. They lived a street over when we were growing up. We used to put on these little plays in the garage..Fun times. Most of my childhood memories include the Filkins. My thoughts go out to all of you.

Bill,Brian,Laurie,Billy, grandchildren, Margaret,Pat,Teri, and to all of Peggy’s family. Dan and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Peggy. We want to extend our most sincere and deepest sympathy to all. A great wife, mother, and grandmother. She was such a high spirited, fun loving person always having a smile on her face.I will never forget after I had known Peggy for a while she took me aside and told me”Sandy you are the best thing that ever happened to Dan” and I will never forget her kind words that will stay with me forever. She loved her family and her friends. And was very proud of all of her childrens and grandchildrens accomplishments. And would boast about them every time we would see her.How wonderful. And she had a great relationship with her sisters being with them whenever she had the chance. She touched everyone that she came in contact with and I think everyone would agree Peggy was a Hoot of a girl. And she is going to be dearly missed by so many.

Dear Bill & family and Margaret, Teri, Pat & family,
We so sad to hear of Peggy’s passing. Just like everyone has already said – her smile was so real and contagious. When we were picking up grandkids at Alamo, quite often she was there picking up hers too. It gave us a chance to hug and catch up a bit. In high school we were able to cheer on the Bulldogs together – she was always so much fun. We send our sympathy and prayers your way hoping God will hold you and assure you He is forever there for you. With Love, John & Diane Glessner
