So hard to believe. I know words just can’t take away the pain or ease the grief. Just know that even though I didn’t get to spend much time with Peggy, I really enjoyed the time I did. My love to the entire Warnez family.

Yesterday my life changed forever. I lost a sister and a best friend. Peggy and I met when I was 14 and she was 15. We practically grew up together and our plan was to grow old together. We were there for each other through the good times and the tough times. When I had a bad day at work, I could always count on Peggy to cheer me up. If she needed me all she had to do was call and I would jump. On our girls trips, she and I were roomies. When I started dating Bob, Bob and I included her. When Aaron and Dan came along, she always included me in their activities. And oh…… the fun we had together on our Walt Disney World trips. Just last fall we picked out hats together at Disney Springs. I already had plans to go back again this fall to make her get the sequined baseball cap she liked so well. Disney will never be the same. I was so very lucky to have had her in my life. It’s so hard to stop all the Peggy memories that keep rolling down my cheeks. I make a promise to my sister and my best friend that she will live forever because I will never forget. And last but, most important, I will be there for Jim, Aaron and Dan and do whatever I can to help them through their grief. And as to those beautiful granddaughters I will look for you in the twinkle of their eyes and I will never let them forget you because I wouldn’t be their Aunt Sarah without you. I will see you in my dreams wearing out hats and drinking our mudslides.

I am so sorry to hear this. I will pray for her family and friends. We were each others first roommates! In a small upstairs apartment in Plainwell by the mill. It was accidental. We both saw the ad, we both made an appointment to see it, we both showed up with our Dad’s because we were only 17, we both wanted it and one of the parents said, why don’t you just rent it together? Duh. We had been locker buddies all through school. Last names with the “W”. We ended up having a ball and got along great. She was so much fun. She didn’t stick around with me very long (lol) because her game plan was some freedom to spend a little more time with her happily-ever-after, Jim, and get married. She had the perfect plan. She will be missed by all.

I am so sad to see this. Peggy and I worked together at the Kalamazoo Gazette. We worked in I.T., laughed together, ate meals together and were friends. I’ll forever remember Peggy for her laugh and sense of humor, owls EVERYWHERE, and for wearing her pens as a necklaces.
My best thoughts to Jim and the rest of the family.

Oh Peggy, how we are all going to miss you. My first memory of you was the first time I ever saw you. I was walking past the high school bus garage and we saw Jim walking and holding hands with some girl and you have been a huge part of all our lives ever since. You are one of the original goofballs as Bob nicknamed us and you have always been as close as any sister could be. From your owls and flamingos to your beautiful jewelry and hats you have always been full of love and happiness. We will so miss how much you loved to dance and your “wohoos” – especially at the annual get together at Pine Lake on the 4th of July. So many memories, so little time. Love you!!!

I will miss my sister Peggy, even though we were separated by miles, I always thought about her and her family. My heart is broken . I’ve had a few days to think on this. And it hurts to know she’s gone. To young, to strong, I will miss our infrequent texts and phone calls. Who am I going to give Gus updates to.
To brother in-law Jim, you have mine and Temples heartfelt condolences, to my nephew’s Aaron and Daniel, your mother was the best, always smiling, always had good things to say about everyone. I miss her.
