Peggy L. Grinnewald

Peggy passed away, Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Alamo Nursing Home in Kalamazoo. 

She was born June 5, 1937, in Norton, Virginia, the daughter of Ernie and Edna (Dean) Boggs. Peggy was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her boys and taking care of her family. She liked playing bingo and cards and spending time with her many friends. On September 6, 1958, she married Carl Grinnewald who passed away in 1983. 

Surviving are her sons, David Grinnewald of Grand Rapids, Michael (Vikki) Grinnewald of Otsego and Steven (Melissa) Grinnewald of Decatur; 6 grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Kirstin, Benjamin, Lauren and Matthew; 2 great-grandchildren, Tanner and Bentlee; siblings, Ann Utter, Sue (Joe) Arnold and Judy Verhulst; sister-in-law, Marlene Boggs along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Bill. 

Friends may visit with Peggy’s family starting at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 P.M., with celebrant Bill Rose officiating. 

Burial will follow at St. Margaret Cemetery in Otsego.
