I’m sorry to read about the loss of Pauline. Mine is a voice from the ancient past, when my family lived on my great uncle’s property (Bill and Ruby Evink) near Pauline’s folks house back in the ’50’s. I used to walk down the road past Pauline’s place, to the Foote farm and “play” with Jeri, even though she was older than me. I had my first turtle soup at the Foote home, and I still remember how impressed I was when Jeri had her hair cut in a “DA”! So daring 🙂 My mom stayed in the area up until four years ago, so I was always updated on the comings and goings of many Otsego people. My late husband and I spent summers at Schnable Lake after I retired in 2008, so we would drive around all the places from my childhood to see how everything changed . Mom is with me now in Florida.
