I grew up just down the road from Paul and his family. His wife, Shirley, was my bus driver when I was a kid. His daughter, Debbie, used to babysit my brother and I. Our families rode snowmobiles together and camped together. We were very close and shared many wonderful memories. Paul was a true friend. Even as my own mom and dad’s health failed in their later years, he visited them faithfully in the nursing home. He’d even sneak my dad in a “beer” occasionally! I will be forever grateful to him for his kindness. Paul appeared a little gruff but he had a mischievous smile and was a teddy bear at heart. May he rest in peace. I send my sincere condolences to Shirley, Dorian, Debbie and Mike. You will all always hold a special place in my heart!

Family of Paul Doxey

I am very sorry for the loss of your love one. Paul was always so good to me and my family. He let my kids work with him around the house when they were small never complaining that they were bothering him. Tommy and Kelly John loved him so much and the minute they would wake up they would eat and get dressed and say Mom were going down to Mr. Doxeys he needs our help working on the boat and around the house. I would just laugh and say I am sure he needs your help.

Shirley this is a special message to you. I love you very much and you have always been so good to us and I will never be able to thank you for your kindness you have showed and if and when you ever need to talk just give me a call I will be there for you.

Glenda and I are so sorry for you loss. Paul was sure a Gem. He always treated all of us with his special smile, and with something funny to make our day (even when I buried my car in the mud trying to park it next to his travel trailer on the open field at the Toledo Speedway). RIP my friend.
