Mildred Sue Elkins

Sue passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her home in Plainwell.

She was born July 25, 1970 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Ronnie and Jane (Koontz) Pinks. Sue was a 1988 Delton High School graduate. She enjoyed playing bingo, arts and crafts, yard sale sites, playing the lottery and attending church. Sue was an animal lover and liked taking nature walks, birdwatching and hunting for rocks. On June 4, 1999 in Allegan, she married Glen Elkins who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Sarah Jackson of Grand Rapids, Natasha Hettinger of Otsego, Josh Patrick of Plainwell, Austin Pinks of Plainwell, Jarrad Elkins of Otsego, Brianna Mullins of Plainwell, Ayden Mullins of Plainwell and Sierra Mullins of Plainwell; grandchildren, Gracie, Lexi, Aaron, Maelee Jane, Isaac, Trenton, Amari, Kaiden and Sharlette; her mother, Jane; siblings, Michael (Katherine) Koontz of Indiana, Trisha (Troy) Cole of Plainwell and Sandra (Darryl) Elkins of Richland along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Pinks.

The family would like to thank their family and friends, especially Richard, Lisa, Erin and Richie Sheldon.

Friends may visit with Sue’s family starting at 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Orangeville Pentecostal Church until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Richard Sheldon officiating.

Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery in Orangeville.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions masks and social distancing will be required.

I really don’t know how to put this, sue you gave me strength when I needed it you told me something that I don’t know you shared with anyone on your life and it changed my life forever it caused me to know I had the strength to walk away to do what I needed to do to walk away from EVIL that was trying to disguise itself and I do not know how to thank you I will never know how to thank you but know this I have changed my life my choices I am better you have been a testimony to me and I thank GOD for you And your testimony your work was not in vain and I love you and thank you . I’m still lost for words and it still doesn’t feel real that you are gone! I will cherish all the memories that we did share with each other. We spent a lot of time together and we were close.
