To Joann and Jim and extended family,
I am sure your mother felt the warmth of your love as you all took care of her when she needed you most. I also know that you, her children, and your families were the center of her life. She continued to guide and nurture each of you even in her last days as she worked with you on various projects and even prepared for the Christmas ahead. The legacy she leaves for her children is the legacy all mothers would like to leave; warm memories and family values passed on through the generations. Her kind ways and happy laughter will stay in our hearts and the hearts of everyone who knew her.

I was a carhop @ Millie’s Aloha in 1988. As strange as it may sound, Millie taught me how to make an ice cream cone. I am left handed & when I went to make a cone, I put 3 balls of ice cream on the cone. That wasn’t the correct way. She said keep working on it & I did. Some girls were afraid of her, but I wasn’t. I knew that she wasn’t mean. She had high expectations; come to work on time, shirts tucked in, working fast under pressure & serving with a simle. Great work etchics! I think of her often. My sympathy to her family, hold on to your memories! Sarah

Gram, I absolutely miss you and am so sorry I was unable to see you again before you went to be with Grandpa Beldon and dad. Please know that all you have done for me over the years was not in vain, and that I will always remember you. There are so many things that I took for granted when I was living in Michigan, and there is no way of ever repaying the many life lessons I have learned from you. Thank you so much for being so patient with me, regardless of how much I fought you along the way. I look forward to coming and visiting you, dad and grandpa as soon as I can. I love you Gram, now please enjoy some rest, as you have certainly earned it.

Joy and Family I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was more than a business owner in Allegan. She was an institution in Allegan! She affected so many young lives over the years in such a positive way. She was tuff but she was always fair and you always knew where you stood with her. Underneath that tuff exterior she had a heart of GOLD and would help us out when we were down or in trouble. Thanks Maude, we will all miss you.
