Michael L. Ahlberg

Mike passed away, Friday, February 16, 2024, at Kauhale in Otsego. 

He was born December 1, 1950, in Kalamazoo, the son of Edmund and Marjorie (Tubbs) Ahlberg. Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in Okinawa and the Philippines during Vietnam. 

Mike attended Western Michigan University and worked in IT in Chicago until returning to Michigan for medical reasons in 2013. Mike was a very independent and loyal person and loved working, having stayed at his employer for over 40 years. 

Surviving are his brothers, Gary (Laurie) Sweetland of Otsego and Larry “Gus” (Mary Thomas) Sweetland of Kalamazoo. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Deb Sisto and nephew, Jeremy Sweetland. 

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
