Merry M Wallace
Merry passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at her home in Plainwell.
She was born February 1, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of J. Herbert and Margaret Burling. Merry moved to Kalamazoo at an early age and graduated from University High School in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, William Wallace on September 8, 1962 in Kalamazoo.
For many years she worked in the medical field retiring from Healthcare Midwest. After retirement she spent her time caring for her family, repairing books for Plainwell Schools, playing cards with two card groups and playing many hours of Scrabble and Trivia games with her daughter and granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William E. Wallace; her children, Deborah (Matthew) Hunt and Gary Wallace; her grandchildren, Travis (Krista Lapham) Wallace, Shelby Wallace, Megan Hunt and Andrew (Cammie) Hunt; her great-grandchildren, Thatcher and Saylah Wallace and Gianna and Lorena Gonzalez as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Kuehl; brother, Daniel Burling and daughter-in-law, Anne Wallace.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place.
Friend may visit with Merry’s family from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Winkel Funeral Home, in Otsego.
