Grandmother of Chad (Sally) Drobny, Marni Drobny (Mike) Owens, Matthew (Kelli) Drobny; Dana Nulty (Mike) Beals, Nicole Nulty (Keith) Vale, Tara Nulty (Andy) Callaghan, TG (Corin) Nulty; Kristen Cooper (Michael) Haines, Kathleen Cooper (Steven) Verduzco, Elizabeth Cooper (Benjamin) Simon; Great Grandmother of Carly and Erica Drobny, Abigail and Emma Owens, Morgan and Chase Drobny; Lindsay and Delaney Beals, Grant, Monique and Vincent Vale; Kasey & Anna Haines, Will, Sara, Nicholas and David Verduzco, Meg and Kate Simon; and Charlize and George Gregory Nulty. Also surviving are Carmen and Lyndon Cronen and their children, Maria, Monique and Bryan and families. Carmen came into her life in 1965 and Carmen and her family have been a part of Maureen’s family since. Also surviving are Jamie, Jamielynne, Trevor and Teagan Commissaris. Preceding her in death were Maureen’s brother, Les Herbig and parents Rinehard and Hilda Herbig and granddaughter, Desa Nulty. Maureen passed away at home with her husband by her side November 21, 2009. Maureen was born on December 16, 1913 in Grant, MI and was raised in Grand Rapids. She graduated from Union High School and attended Davenport Business School. On May 6, 1940 in Otsego she married Greg Nulty. They were the fourth couple to be married at St. Margaret’s Church in Otsego and have been active members of the church. They began married life in Plainwell operating a small grocery store. In 1945 Greg and Maureen moved to Otsego and started Real Estate business and then added Insurance. Maureen was Greg’s helpmate in the business. Their marriage was good, their dreams focused, their best friends lived barely a wave away. Maureen was president of William Crispe Hospital Guild, PTA, League of Mary and was a Brownie Scout Leader and member of Lady Elks. She also was a fund raiser for the Community Chest. .
