Matthew P. Eshbaugh
Matthew Paul Eshbaugh passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his home in Otsego.
He was born July 25, 1978, in Kalamazoo, the son of Brad Eshbaugh and Cindy (Bular) Patterson. Matt had most recently worked as a lift operator at Bittersweet Ski Resort. On July 14, 2003, he married Heather Stolworthy and they were able to share their 15
th
anniversary together before his death. Matt cherished his time with his dogs, Xena and Bruizer.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Heather Eshbaugh; children, Cameron and Cassia Baker; his mother, Cindy Patterson; father and step-mother, Brad and Julie Eshbaugh; his grandmothers: Nancy Eshbaugh and Luella Eshbaugh; his brothers and sisters: Kevin Slater, Andrew Eshbaugh, Michael Johnson, Joseph Johnson, and Dawn Johnson; several aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Heather Michelle Marsh.
Matt was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Johnson; step-father, Curtis Patterson; his grandfathers: Richard Bular and Ralph Eshbaugh; aunt, Pamela Mathis and a dear aunt, Tootie Guthrie.
The family will greet friends and family during a time to celebrate Matt’s life on Sunday, July 22, 2018, from 12-3 PM at Robert Morris Park (8415 East H Ave, Kalamazoo) on Campbell Lake. A service to remember his life will be held at 12 PM during the gathering.
Contributions in memory of Matt may be made to the family to help with expenses.
