Mary Ann Kleinbrink

Mary Ann passed away, peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, December 1, 2024, at her home in Otsego. 

She was born, January 28, 1951, in Plainwell the daughter of Motley and Garnet (Story) Tefft. Mary Ann graduated from Otsego High School in 1969 and worked as a long-distance phone operator until she married and started her family. While raising her children, she was the vocal music teacher at the Otsego Baptist Academy until her retirement after 20 years in 2006. 

Mary Ann was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Otsego where she served as the choir director for many years. On August 22, 1970, she married Mark Kleinbrink who survives. 

Also surviving are her children, Nicole (Doug) MacVean of Martin, Stephanie Hyet of Otsego and Laura (Tim) Bedell of Alamo Township; grandchildren, Samantha (Ryan) McFanin, Bobbi (Skylar) Bedell, Jonah (Lydia) Hyet, Kobi (Emma) Bedell, Matthew (Paige) MacVean, Emma (Jordan) Senters, Ashley Bedell, Lucy Bedell, Amy Bedell, Emily Bedell and Oakley Bedell; great-grandchildren, Crew, Eloise, Tilly, Rowan, Quinn and Ava; sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Pfau and Sandra Tefft along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Diane Conklin. 

Friends may visit with Mary Ann’s family from 4-6 PM, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where a funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 5, 2024, with Joel Thompson officiating. 

Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego.
