I am so very sorry for the loss of Kathie, I was surprised to find out about her passing. She will be greatly missed by many, and her bright light in the hearts of those who knew her best will keep the memory of her and all she has done for those around her. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, I have known the Shagonaby family the majority of my life. It is always difficult to say good-bye to a good person and kind heart.

Kathie a great and wonderful woman, we loved to joke around and loved that we always were grateful for everything Creator has given us. A woman who always helped others and her family. I will truly miss this great woman who gave me so much in the last 16 years that I have come to know her.

Maureen — As you and I have discussed in the past, those we love most never truly leave us, we simply need to listen more intently to hear them and look more closely to see them. You will connect with your Mom in the days ahead through the beauty of a sunrise or sunset and in the kind actions of others. God Bless you my friend. You have provided us all with an example of how we should care for our parents.

I give you this one thought to keep, I am with you still I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle Autumn rain,
When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night…
Do not think of me as Gone for I am with you still in each new Dawn
With Warmest Regards,
Your friends and family at the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission

Kurt, Mo, and Codie,
So sad and sorry to hear of Kathie’s passing. She was a gem! I have fond memories of working with her and will remember her quiet but keen sense of humor and contagious laugh.
May the pain you feel now soon give way to memories of her that will comfort you and make you smile. You will never lose the love she had for you.
Thinking of you all and remembering her,
Kate
