, the daughter of Johnny and Nancy (Triplett) Smith. She had worked at several area nursing homes and then at home raising her children and working with her husband on their blueberry farm. Mary was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed her family and helping others. She was known to take in injured animals and nurse them back to health. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, writing and playing bingo. On

she married Joseph Forstner, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Mary (Scott) Musselman of Union City, Angela Struntz of WA, Michael Forstner and Sarah Jones both of Allegan, and Marcy Lautenschleder of Hudsonville; her mother and step-father, Nancy (Darrel) Pritt; siblings, Charles Chastain, Cherie Cunningham, Angie Chastain and Darrel Pritt Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, her sister Misty Brown and by her brother Ransom Chastain. Friends may meet with her family from 2 to 4 and
6 to 8 P.M.
on Friday at Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where a service will be held Saturday at
10:00 A.M.
, Rev. Gail Pike officiating. Interment will be in Mallory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association,
