Mary E. Clark of Otsego, Michigan, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Kalamazoo. Mrs. Clark was born November 13, 1919 in Hastings, MI, the daughter of Albert and Muriel (Beck) Renbarger. Mary graduated from St. Augustine High School in 1937 and she married Merle Clark on February 18, 1939. She and Merle owned Al’s Grocery Store in Kalamazoo in the 1950’s, then she worked at Dorne’s Dept. Store in Kalamazoo and retired from Ruby’s Women’s Apparel after 20 years. They moved to Peacock, MI and she was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Irons, MI where she had been president of the Altar Society. Mary was a current member of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Otsego. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband, crafts and traveling. She is survived by her children, Merle James Clark of Palmer, AK, Mary L. Clark (Gerrit Schuiteboer) of Otsego; Thomas Clark of Otsego and Nancy (Roger) Kortotrax of Otsego; 8 grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alberta (Mel) Goebel and Terry Wynn; and 2 brothers, Kenneth Wynn and James Wynn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle in 1990; son, Paul in 2008; and brothers, John & Paul Renbarger. Friends may meet with the family Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, MI, where a Scripture Service will be held during the visitation at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11:00 at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Otsego. Interment will be at Eden Township Cemetery, Irons, Michigan on Friday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Kairos Dwelling, 2945 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
