I am in shock, we had just seen him last Tuesday. Talked with him and told him we were real happy with the new roof that him and Justin put on for us last Spring. Mark was such a nice and thoughtful guy. I am sure he will be missed by all those who knew him. Prayers to all of the family.

Barb,
Please accept my condolences. I always considered Mark a good friend even though we did not always see much of each other when we lived in Kalamazoo. When we did see each other I found Mark easy to engage in conversation and appreciated his genuine thoughts and comments.

I met Mark on the playground my first day at Otsego (Dix Street Elementary) 3rd grade in the fall of 1962. We became fast friends from the beginning and about a week later discovered that we were next door neighbors (Country – 1/2 mile). Along with our older brothers (Dave & Craig) we were like the four Musketeers all through school. Mark and I staid close through adulthood, working in the construction business. I have lost a brother and my life long friend. Mark was honest (to a fault), he always told it like it was. He was smart, funny and a shrewed business man. He loved to play golf and we enjoyed a cold one together on a few occasions. I will miss you my friend, but will see you in eternity.

Mrs. Pulver, Penny, Craig, Michelle, and Dixon. Class of 1973 was just a great time to be alive, Mark was such a big part of the every one’s world during those school years. He was always there if you needed a helping hand. Our paths crossed a few times since those school days. I too called Mark my friend and I will keep him in my heart and wish my deepest thoughts for the family.

He was bigger than life, forever the prankster and I cannot recall anyone who didn’t like him. Our paths never again crossed after school, but I asked after him. From the comments above, I know now that he grew to be a man who inspired love, integrity and generosity in equal measure. I will remember him in his black motorcycle jacket with a half-lidded, mocking smile on his face. Farewell, my friend.
