I enjoyed working with Marion at Hopkins. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. I stopped by her office often to give her a hug and of course to give her a hard time. She loved to give me a hard time as well.

My students loved going past her window to make faces at her because she always make funny faces back at them.

She will be sadly missed.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Marion. She was such a fun person! Any time she would come into the lounge to top off her water bottle she would have a big smile on her face. She loved to tease and joke around, and I especially loved her warmth and caring. Like me, Marion was a hugger! She was a beautiful person and Heaven has added a true angel. RIP Marion.

I was in disbelief when I first heard of Marion’s passing and then my heart ached for her boys. I am so very sorry Jordon and Justin for the loss of your precious Mother. She had an incredible smile and no one could hug better than Marion. I don’t believe she ever met a stranger. Always so kind and thoughtful. I will never forget her…

I am without words to express my grief and heartbreak for the family of this amazingly beautiful soul, taken from us WAY too soon. Mari, you will be missed every day. Heaven gained a beautiful angel when you arrived! May you find peace and shine down on us all of our days. Praying for your family as they try to move forward without your smile to light the days… <3

Marion was one of my closest friends. We had so many good times together. I will always remember any award show that was on TV, Marion made a big production out of it,by getting all red-carpet dressed up and she’d lay out a blanket picnic style and celebrate. So many stories. Michelle, Christina and I miss you terrible. May you rest in peace my dear friend.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Marion’s passing. She was a very special woman. My wife passed away in May of 2009. I was assigned to work in her building the next school year. She consoled me in my grief, giving me the best hugs, asking me about my family. This led to conversations about her boys; I really enjoyed our conversations about our kids and high school football. I also appreciated the warmth in her smiles that she shared through her window as I walked through the hall or her office. I will miss her and remember her fondly.

I am so sorry to have heard about the loss of your mom. I cannot express to two boys and her family enough – my condolences. Marion was such a wonderful, beautiful and outgoing person. I remember her most at the football games, she loved watching her boys play!! She and her family would sometimes sit with my sister and I and oh my goodness, she was so much fun to watch and to listen to – she was all into the games:)!!!. I didn’t know your mom in a deep personal way, but I do know this, that she loved her boys with all her heart and was so proud of you two!!! I pray for you Jordan and Justin and for Marion’s family that Gods hand of healing and comfort will get you through this difficult time.
