Marie H. Rouse

Marie passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Life Care Center in Plainwell.

She was born January 10, 1928 in Ganges, Michigan, the daughter of Raymond and Martha (Coon) Cooley. Marie was a 1946 Otsego High School graduate and for over 20 years had worked for Otsego Financial Office. She was a member of the Otsego Elks Lodge #1711, was active with the Otsego VFW Post #3030, had been a member of the First Congregational Church of Otsego and enjoyed spending winters in Gulf Shores, AL. On August 1, 1947 she married Richard “Rip” Rouse who passed away in 2014.

Surviving are her son, Rex Rouse of Otsego, son-in-law, David Goff of Centreville; 3 grandchildren: Richard (Jessica) Rouse of Kalamazoo, Tiffany Rouse of Otsego and Dave (Amy) Goff of Augusta, 3 great-grandchildren: Dillon Goff, Jacob Goff and Sylvia Marie Rouse.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Ronnie Rouse in 1963; daughter, Gail Goff in 2012; daughter-in-law, Mary Rouse; brothers, Lewis Cooley and Robert Cooley and sister-in-law, Barbara Michaels.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego, with Pastor Paul Laborde officiating.

Contributions in memory of Marie may be made to the

Life Care Center of Plainwell Hymnal Fund.
