Marian Morgan of Otsego, Michigan passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Kalamazoo. Mrs. Morgan was born November 26, 1926 in Plainwell to William and Lottie (Popko) Howard and was a lifelong resident of the area. Marian was a member of the Otsego Moose Lodge and WG Eaton Women’s Relief Corp Grand Army of Republic Officer; she had been a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader; a Red Cross Instructor; on the Community Chest Board; volunteered at the VA Medical Center in Battle Creek and the Special Needs Picnic and Christmas Party at the Otsego Moose Lodge.
On June 10, 1945 in Plainwell she married
Howard Morgan
who preceded her in death in April. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a grandson Glenn Harris; her siblings, Edward Howard, Elizabeth Howard, Lucine Harmon, John Howard, Alice Brown and Beverly Williams.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Ron) Harris of Plainwell and Margie (Jim) Grabowski of Allegan; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, June Bell of Galesburg and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may meet with Marian’s family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2013, at the
Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego
where a Women of the Moose and Women’s Relief Corp Service will be held beginning at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2013, Bill Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Plainwell.

Dear Mary and Ron,
Marian was such a pleasure to be with. We will miss her terribly each and every day. Sadie Sue stops at her driveway every time we pass by on our walks just looking for Grandma to greet us.
