to Gary and Winona (Smith) VanderVeen. Lani was graduated from

Otsego

High School

and was employed with SBC for the past 6 years doing line repair. She loved being with and helping others, working on cars, snowmobiling and motorcycling. Surviving are two sons, Scott Vander Ploeg of Paw Paw and Tom Vander Ploeg of

Kalamazoo

and their father John Vander Ploeg of

Kalamazoo

; her parents; two sisters and a brother, Cindy (Hall) Taylor of Bartlesville, OK, Rick (Cheryl) VanderVeen of Galesburg and Vicki (Scott) Williquete of Rockford, IL; several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from

8 P.M.

today at the

Winkel Funeral Home,

Otsego,

where services will be held at

1:30 P.M.

Friday, Pastor Scott Williquette officiating. Interment will follow at

Alamo

Center

Cemetery

. Contributions in memory of Lani may be made to ALS of Michigan (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
