at her home. Mrs. Bevins was born
April 6, 1922

to Benjamin J. and Laura (McKenzie) Salyers. Louise devoted her life to her family and her home. After her husband’s retirement in 1984 they moved to this area from
Kentucky
. Louise enjoyed cooking and making candy and loved being with her grandkids. Surviving are three sons, John R. Bevins of
Tallahassee
,
FL
, James D. (
Sharon
) Bevins and Larry D. (Lorie) Bevins, both of Plainwell; eight grandchildren, Michael and Evan, Christopher, Nathaniel, Melanie, Eric and Lindsey, and Kate; six great-grandchildren, Kristin, Kyle and Andrew, Christopher, Seth and Kaylee; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Bevins in 1990; four brothers, Roy, Mitchell, Everett and Orville “Red” Salyers; and a sister, Elva Hamilton. Friends may meet the family from

Monday at the
Winkel Funeral Home,
Otsego,
where services will be held Tuesday at
1:00 P.M.
, Dr. Harvey K. Procknau officiating. Burial will follow at
Hillside
Cemetery
, Plainwell. Contributions in memory of Louise may be made to the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association of Michigan.
