Londa Jeanne Weaver

Londa went on eagle’s wings to her heavenly home prepared by Jesus Christ, Friday, March 8, 2024. 

She was born October 24, 1944, in Kalamazoo, to Harry and Vivian (Sherwood) Peterson. Londa attended Western Michigan University and for 19 years was a teacher at Otsego Baptist Academy. 

In her free time, she enjoyed reading, taking trips on the motorcycle with her husband and caring for her horses and cats. Autumn was a special time of year for Londa and on October 31, 1966, in Norfolk, Virginia, she married the love of her life, Randy Weaver who passed away in 2017. 

Surviving are her children, Morgan Weaver of Martin and Art (Becky) Weaver of Plainwell; 2 grandchildren, Alexis and Brianna Weaver; 2 great-grandchildren, Axel and Ryan; brother, Larry (Kathy) Peterson and friends, June Grau, Mike Harlen and Dan Hurlbut. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; many students throughout the years that she is expecting to see as well as her special friends, Alvin and Nada Sweet and Sue Hurlbut. 

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego.
