I wasn’t aware of Dave’s passing. My prayers to your family. Dave and I were coworkers on the railroad. I live in Grandville, MI. we worked together at Penn Central and ConRail. When I got laid off in Grand Rapids, I went to Kalamazoo to work. I used to pick Dave up on my way down and we rode in together. I was pretty young then and didn’t always bring a lunch. Dave always shared his yummy Tuna sandwiches with me (thank you Sharron). That was the way Dave was. A great guy, hard worker and caring. He knew everything that there was to know about the railroad and the Civil War. I learned a lot from him. May he rest in peace!
