Still remember that smile you and your little girl had when you would take her for a ride on your goldwing.

Lew was a long time family friend and my sister, Dawn, and I have lots of fun memories to cherish. I will miss walking in to the VFW and seeing your goofy smile, as will many of your dear friends. I will miss waving at you while passing the VFW on my deliveries. I will miss running into you at Harding’s & my big hug from your leather vest!!

Ruth and Family … Our sincerest condolences. May our Lord God hold all of you in his loving arms during this very difficult time.
We will never forget how much Louie ‘stepped up’ to help us with our dinners and Fish Fry’s at our VFW Post 3030 and was famous for his wonderful “Louie Cake’ that everyone enjoyed.

Dear Ruth,
Louie always made us laugh! Tim always looked for his car when he went to the VFW. If it was there, he knew there would be someone who would talk to him and make him and tell him jokes! Please know that he is now an Angel in Heaven watching over you!

Big Lew was one of my best childhood friends and neighbor. Always happy and fun and the best friend friend a kid could have. Favorite life experience with Lew was finding him tending bar of all places at Rhien-Main Air Force base in Germany when we were both in the service. We had a fun few days before I got shipped out. Two guys from Water Street in Otsego connecting on the other side of the world. Faithful, loyal friend forever. So sorry Ruth for your loss!

Big Lew was a friend to everyone he met, always had a smile and a funny comment to make when I’d see him. At the VFW, Big Lew was like Norm on the TV show, “Cheers”…… everyone knew him and he certainly loved his beer. My heart goes out to his family and many friends. Big Lew is now riding that bike across the clouds of Heaven with a beer in hand and a smile on his face. Rest in peace, Big Lew.

Ruth and family,
So very sorry to learn the passing of Lew. He was a character and made us and many laugh. He always laughed at me when I’d ask him “What’s up Archie”?
Lots of prayers and hugs.

Old friends from High School, always loved Louie so much. Many laughs and great memories, Bart and Louie flipped burgers at the Satellite in Plainwell. Great days of friendship that will not be forgotten.
Bless Louie and his family.

Ruth…Having met Lewis naturally down to the VFW and quite a few others during my brothers illness (Jud Breedveld) we extend our heartfelt thoughts and prayers. Everyone there thought and cared so much for Jud & Louise and always made us feel a part of your VFW family as well. Can’t wait for the fish fries to start up again. Sincere sympathy…..
