Lenaria B. Carson

Lenaria B. Carson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010, in Plainwell. Mrs. Carson was born June 13, 1931 in Schoolcraft to Buck and Emma (Reynolds) Kettle. In her leisure time she enjoyed crocheting afghans, quilting and playing Canasta and Bingo. On November 4, 1974, in Kalamazoo she was married to Albert Carson, who died in 2006. Also preceding her in death were three brothers and a sister. Surviving are her grandchildren, Larry Martin, Charlene MacClaine, Jeff Smith, Bill Smith, Ed Smith and Ramona King; a special granddaughter, Michelle Smith; a special great-grandson, Robert Smith; a special great-great granddaughter, MaKayla; an ex sister-in-law, Dixie Cox; many nieces and nephews including, Everett Kettle, Beth Ann Kettle and Marcia Kettle and special friends Geraldine Meyers and Mary Rupp. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. Burial of ashes will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
